This is an anthemic song that soars, documenting the transformative moment when a healing process takes you beyond just survival, and you become someone entirely new. Moon explains: “Oh my God! It’s a resurrection, was the last song I wrote for the record, and in many ways it unlocked what the album had been trying to say all along. The moment we finished it, I knew the album already had its title. Sometimes healing feels a lot like dying before it starts to feel like freedom. This song is about realising you’re still standing and you’re better than ever.”
This is the title track from Anna Moon’s debut album, which is due for release on 18th September 2026. Although it was the final song written for the album, it is clearly the emotional heart of the collection, a song that charts personal growth and change and celebrates finding the strength to move on. The songs were inspired by a solo trip through the American Southwest that fuelled Moon’s music: “I wanted to make a record that I’d listen to over and over again,” Anna says. “Life is heartbreaking, beautiful, messy, and miraculous all at once.
