Dallas Burrow conjures cowboys and smokey poker rooms with Ray Wylie Hubbard in his newest single ‘Read ‘Em and Weep’. This is the first single from the Texas stalwart’s new full-length album “How the West Was Won”. The record was recorded in two quick days with famed producer Lloyd Maines at the helm. Like the best of the Lone Star State’s songwriters, Burrow fills his storytelling songs with small details that bring the characters that inhabit them to life in three dimensions.

The video finds Burrow and Hubbard on barstools performing the song in a dimly lit saloon. Hubbard’s voice is both familiar and a revelation. The fiddle and dobro playing is superb.

“How the West Was Won” will be available on 26th September from 40 Below Records. Burrow is touring the US in support of the release.
