Old Sea Brigade (Ben Cramer) and Luke Sital-Singh are both known for their graceful, subtle songwriting; their delicate, layered instrumentation pulls the listener into their sensitively delivered lyrics and themes. Now, they are combining their talents and complementing one another’s styles in a new collaborative band, Good Wild Gods. Building on a strong rhythmic foundation, Delancey & Me blend their voices in absorbing harmony over a compelling rhythm and melodic depths and textures.

Delancey & Me follows the low-key release of the band’s first single, Beautiful Places, last month. The longtime friends have spent years recording and touring as solo artists before deciding it was time to create something bigger and bolder than they would produce alone. Back in 2020, the pair collaborated on a beautifully crafted EP, All the Ways You Sing in the Dark. Although they both subsequently returned to their solo work, it was a precursor to this vibrant, new project. After a reunion at Cramer’s home in Gothenburg, Sweden, the friends felt freshly inspired and spent five days experimenting and penning new songs. The low-stakes environment and stream-of-consciousness writing led to Sital-Singh and Cramer embracing more adventurous sounds and taking risks, inspired by one another. Fresh and expansive, this new material finds two masterful songwriters revitalised and refreshed. We look forward to hearing more from Good Wild Gods.
