India Ramey displays strength and vulnerability in her new video for ‘The Mountain’.  The track features Ramey’s fierce vocals with hints of a Spaghetti Western soundtrack.  The video features her alone in a darkened room performing the song as moves in time with the lyrics.  This is the first single from her new full length album, ‘Baptized by the Blaze’, due 23rd August from Mule Kick Records.  The collection was produced by Luke Wooten and features instrumentalists Tommy Hardin, Alyson Prestwood, Scotty Sanders, and James Mitchell.

Reflecting on writing the song Ramey says, “I was a child of domestic violence and as a result of what I witnessed, I have PTSD. My trauma therapist told me on a particularly hard day that even when we are healing there will be “avalanches” where we are triggered and hurting BUT the more we heal, the stronger, easier and better our recovery from the avalanches becomes. She told me to always remember that after the avalanche, I am The Mountain. I hope that anyone who hears this song is reminded of this incredibly empowering message.”
