Video: Leonard Cohen “Thanks for the Dance”

Is there a more darkly distinctive voice in music than Leonard Cohen’s?  Last year his son, Adam, completed and released a set of songs they had begun working on before Cohen’s death.  This posthumous collection was an unexpected final flourish of undimmed creativity from an inspiring artist. Leonard would be pleased with the outcome.

NOWNESS is developing a series of videos to visually represent the album and the latest is this, the title track, ‘Thanks for the Dance’.  The striking images in the video are the artistic interpretaion of the fashion-photographer, Harley Weir, who says: “I’m a huge fan of Leonard Cohen.  His lyrics are so raw and yet so warm. I am honoured to be a part of his legacy.”
