Video: Levellers “Food Roof Family”

On the first single from their upcoming album, ‘Peace’, Levellers ask the question: “Doesn’t everybody need the same thing? Food, roof and family?”  Indeed, there should be more that unites us than divides us.  It’s tuneful, up-tempo, foot-tapping stuff, set to a smart video that displays multiple misleading newspaper headlines targeting the vulnerable and marginalised.

Singer and guitarist, Mark Chadwick, says: “Everybody needs those three things, it doesn’t matter where you’re from.  It’s something that we all crave. Why does anybody want more roof than anybody else, or more food than anybody else, or want to kill anybody else’s family. It doesn’t make any sense.”  Fair point.
