Video: Michelle Mandico “Ptarmigan”

Michelle Mandico’s clean, clear, powerful voice is a perfect match for the gorgeous snow-filled landscapes in the video for ‘Ptarmigan’.  Indeed the vocal and guitar melodies are just as beautiful as the mountain peaks of which she sings.  The video was filmed on the ski slopes of Loveland Pass in the Colorado Rockies where Mandico grew up.  Written on Christmas Day in 2015, the song uses the ptarmigan, a bird that changes colour with the seasons, as a symbol for personally challenging times Mandico was going through, passing from darkness to light.  Lovely music.
