Check out the latest single from the acclaimed Dwight Twilley. ‘No Place Like Home’ is a stirring, upbeat song with an engaging singalong melody. In this absorbing song, a catchy vocal tune soars above the powerful drums and rhythmic bass. The sights of Tulsa form the backdrop for Twilley’s performance in the accompanying video.
After an earthquake destroyed his LA home, Twilley moved back home to Tulsa, where he and his wife Jan built a home studio and became experts in production and engineering. The next few years were incredibly prolific for Twilley and the band; along with a Christmas release and cover albums, Twilley put out six original albums. Twilley was one of the ‘original four’ from The Church Studio, alongside Leon Russell, Tom Petty and JJ Cale. Together, they created the ‘Tulsa Sound’. This single is from Twilley’s new double album ‘The Best of Dwight Twilley – The Tulsa Years (1999-2016) Volume 1’, which is out now. Celebrating the albums Twilley has a recorded in Tulsa, for the first time on vinyl, fans will be able to find songs from ‘Tulsa’, ‘The Luck’, ’47 Moons’, ‘Green Blimp’, ‘Soundtrack’ and ‘Always’. The package is a real collectors’ item, with the vinyl discs appearing in different colours and a booklet full of information about the songs. Enjoy this song and then take a listen to the whole album.
