Video Premiere: Frank Viele “Mountains We Can Climb”

Check out the new video from Frank Viele, recent winner of Act of the Year at the New England Music Awards 2023.  The first Connecticut-artist to receive this honour, Viele had a busy 2023, releasing four singles that were recorded at Nutthouse Recording Studios, Muscle Shoals, a town with a rich musical history.  He worked with Jimmy Nutt (Jason Isbell, American Aquarium, The Dead South) and James LeBlanc (Travis Tritt, Will Hoge, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Dylan LeBlanc, Kid Rock, Rascal Flatts) to put together a collection of heartland rock and Americana-infused songs that will form his upcoming album.  He also embarked on a solo tour as well as supporting the likes of rock legend John Waite.

‘Mountains We Can Climb’ is a song that is full of hope and belief.  Driven forward by urgent drums from Tom Barraco and additional percussion from Jimmy Nutt, the song surges with energy and soars in the chorus. Over James LeBlanc’s dynamic guitar, Viele delivers a compelling vocal performance full of catchy melody.  The accompanying video features two characters in a retro video game, embarking on a dangerous adventure and battling enemies and the elements on a mountainside.

Viele’s last album, ‘What’s His Name?’, featured on the AMA Charts in 2018.  Subsequent singles and an EP have been building towards the new full-length release, due out later this year.  ‘The Trouble With Desire’ promises to be another energetic blend of Americana, folk, blues and heartland rock – one to watch for fans of catchy hooks and radio-friendly rocking tunes.
