A snowstorm can’t stop Little Misty from delivering a beautiful live version of ‘Windmill’. The Montreal based quintet filmed this session at the Treehouse Music Collective in the ski town of St-Adèle Quebec. Gorgeous shots of the pines outside being dusted with freshly fallen snow are interspersed throughout the performance. The group sits tightly together and expertly delivers the song about an old windmill on a hill witnessing generations of people pass by. The playing and singing are masterful. The mix by engineer Charles-Émile Beaudin is extraordinary, capturing every nuance of the vocal seven though the singers are a mere metre from the drumkit.
“We were surprised that we made it to the Treehouse that morning,” explained Kathryn and Francois. “Getting out of the city in the snowstorm was a bit of a challenge! But in the end, it was absolutely beautiful up north and we were really psyched about making music. We’re glad we captured the vibe!”
‘Windmill’ is the first single from the forthcoming sophomore album ‘Nowhere Land’ due in stores and on streaming services in April 2023. Little Misty will be touring extensively through Canada this Spring.
