Madam Radar’s The Show Must Go On is an anthem for performing, celebrating the lifestyle of the touring musician. In the accompanying video premiere, directed by Garrett Jay Brown, we get to see the band on stage and in the studio, but we also find them hanging out and enjoying their time together. Life on tour is as much about that sense of companionship and togetherness as it is about the music. However, the music itself is really compelling here. There’s a great rocking energy and electrifying guitar work. At the heart of The Show Must Go On is the band’s collective vocal performance, which is truly outstanding. Taking turns to lead and then harmonising with precision, their voices

The band say of the song’s theme: “‘The Show Must Go On’ is a snapshot of life on the road as a touring band. We’ve been performing and traveling together for 10 years now. Each night is a new city, a new state, a new chance to connect with people from all around the world. We see a lot of highways, truck stops, and chaos on the way. For a lot of bands, the realities of life on the road can be difficult to endure. The mundanity of traveling, the constant turnover, the whiplash of jumping from high-energy performances immediately to a 20-hour drive through the night to make the next show. But we thrive on it because we do it as a family. That means you win together and you lose together. When it gets hard, we can rely on each other to carry the weight and make it to the next show. The Show Must Go On is an anthem for anyone and everyone who refuses to give up when times get tough. It honors the tenacity and perseverance of following one’s dream. The song is a celebration of the band’s unwavering commitment to each other and our collective goals.”

Texas-based Madam Radar features brother and sister Kelly Green (lead guitar/vocals) and Kody Lee (drums/vocals), and each of their spouses, Jace Cadle (rhythm guitar/vocals) and Violet Lea (bass/vocals). Known for the dynamic performances and those sweet four-part harmonies, the band has shared stages with the likes of Lukas Nelson and Hayes Carll. Produced by GRAMMY-winner Steve Berlin of Los Lobos, the band’s latest album, Motel, delivers vibrant americana-infused rock and stories of the road.
