Video Premiere: Paul J Bolger “I Believe”

‘I Believe’ is the first single from the forthcoming, self-titled album from Irish singer-songwriter, Paul J Bolger.  It features characterful vocals, delicate guitar and demonstrates the quality of Bolger’s songcraft. The new album will be released on 26th June and we are pleased to share this video premiere as a taster for what’s to come.  An illustrator for books and graphic novels, Bolger is always creating.  Now he is the first singer from east of the Atlantic to sign for Wolfe Island Records.

Bolger says of the song: “‘I Believe’ was originally written as a paean to romantic love but in these strangest of times it reminds us that while thoughts and prayers might help some people get through self-isolation and social lockdown it is more important you tell your someone special how you feel about them. Three small words, a telephone…”  Wise words from Bolger, whose acclaimed  last album, ‘The Moss House’, was released a quarter of a century ago.  Enjoy.
