Video premiere: The Strange Blue Dreams “Electricity”

The new single from Glasgow band The Strange Blue Dreams is taken from their forthcoming debut album and was recorded live in one take before being overdubbed with DIY percussion and otherwordly weird things. They told us: “Electricity is a cowboy yodel to the cosmos, a Joe Meek rocket ride into a brave new world through Buddy Holly’s spectacles. A thousand distant dramas condensed into 2 minutes and 1 second of radio perfect pop.” The accompanying video which we’re premiering this morning is equally condensed. Telling a dystopian sci-fi fantasy of an oppressed underclass set free by an elemental alien force, forget the news headlines and instead spend the two minutes (and one second) watching this.
