Video: The Dead Tongues “Slack Jaw (ft. Phil Cook)”

There’s a haunting, emotional vocal on this beautiful song from The Dead Tongues. Ryan Gustafson, who records under the moniker The Dead Tongues, has been running a weekly livestream series called QuaranTV during the lock-down.  In the seventh edition, he collaborated with Phil Cook to record this atmospheric cover of Sylvan Esso’s ‘Slack Jaw’‘Transmigration Blues’, his fourth album under the name The Dead Tongues, is out on 26th June.  This introspective album finds Gustafson sorting through the emotional baggage of his youth and finding acceptance and renewal.  Sit back and absorb this.
