W.C. Beck’s new album is ‘First Flight‘, and it really isn’t as it’s his ninth album. That’s a little confusing, but there’s no confusion in his music, as represented by the first single ‘The Long Way Home‘ which is as clear and engaging as any soulful country ballad, with intimate and personal lyrics. And maybe that’s the first flight being referenced – a new path for W.C. Beck after his switch from Portland to New York and a new focus in his own music following a period of studying in Paris (France).
