Yo La Tengo “Sinatra Drive Breakdown” – it’s a long road, thank goodness

This is timely – ‘Sinatra Drive Breakdown‘ is taken from the new Yo La Tengo album ‘This Stupid World‘, which is released today.  ‘Sinatra Drive Breakdown‘  is the opener for the album and it bubbles and rumbles as it rides an almost endless vibe.  For the new album Yo La Tengo took the production and mixing duties themselves, and in addition the base music of the album is the trio playing, together, at the same time making for a real “live” feel.  Oh, and it rocks like anything – quite important that.

Talking of live, Yo La Tengo launch a European leg of their tour in Dublin on April 10th and will play three UK dates:

Wed, Apr 12 – Manchester, UK – New Century Hall
Thu, Apr 13 – Bristol, UK – SWX
Fri, Apr 14 – London, UK – The London Palladium

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
