Anton O’Donnell “On the Way Down”

Anton O’Donnell is the lead singer/songwriter with Glasgow based band and Anton & the Colts, and his second single ‘On the Way Down’ is out next week. Anton told us that the song is “lyrically the culmination of all the things that have irritated me over the lockdown (and life in general) – bullies, Brexit, apathy and the apparent corruption within government. Really chuffed with the way this track’s turned out considering it was rehearsed and recorded over a 10 hour period. I sent the lads a rough demo with the description of the vibe I was looking for – ‘A subterranean homesick hobo impregnating B.R.M.C. on Maggie’s Farm’. I have no idea what that would really sound like, but it would probably involve screaming, burning pitchforks and cardboard signs that read, ‘fuck you’.”
