The Coo return with a new single ‘Something’s Turned‘, which finds Matt Arthur and Jara Holdert reflecting on a love that is draining slowly away – the fire’s gone and there’s barely the fizzle left. It’s a song that suits these darker days – the staring out of a window at the endless rain, coffee cup steaming whilst one wonders how it all came to this. It’s that mood that The Coo have captured so perfectly here.
Matt Arthur and Jara Holdert, you’ll recall, come from opposite sides of the North Sea, and met at an open mic’ in Amsterdam. ‘Something’s Turned‘ is the first release from their forthcoming album ‘A Different Life‘, produced by themselves alongside producer Sean Gascoigne. The album is out in October, and there will be a tour of Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK in November/December.
