Life on the road in grainy black and white, Shane Smith and the Saints release a new video for ‘Wheels’. The band lets fans take a glimpse at life behind the scenes and the players getting ready to hit the stage. The song is an ode to life as a touring musician and the filmed images perfectly suit the lyrics. Footage of their sold-out show at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater are included as well as many, many cocktails. ‘Wheels’ is drawn from their latest thirteen track full length ‘Norther’. Following the album’s release in March 2024, the group was invited to make their debut at The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
Smith comments, “This song is a reflection on our years of grinding away and touring without much success. In a way it sounds sonically happy and lightweight, while also singing of some of the lowest moments and revelations you can face while on the road. ‘And our foggy headlights, they still shine but not so bright. We’re free with our hands tied; alone, but too caught up to feel.’ I think a lot of travelers, especially touring musicians will be able to relate to it in many ways.”
Shane Smith and the Saints will be touring the UK in November 2024.
