Liv Greene “Katie” – good love, a precious thing

There’s something special about the combination of just Liv Greene’s voice and guitar playing which, with some restrained and empathetic fiddle,  makes up the predominant sound of ‘Katie‘, which comes from Greene’s second album ‘Deep Feeler.‘  It’s a love song, a reflection on a past relationship, and it is imbued with such quiet passion that it resonates note by note as a deep truth.  As a song it is a success, but it is more than that as well as Liv Greene herself explains: “This came out of a relationship that wasn’t my first queer love experience, but it was my first time allowing it to not be a bad thing. It comes from a place of tenderness––of allowing yourself to feel those romantic feelings and really revel in them.

‘Deep Feeler’ is released October 18th via Free Dirt Records.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
