The 19th annual Glasgow Americana festival will take place at various places around the city between 1st and 5th October 2025  with a mixture of some familiar and new faces. There will be over 40 musicians performing for the annual Americana Extravaganza which will take place in Cottiers, The Glad Cafe, The Hug & Pint and The Red Door Club.

The opening night features Scottish singer-songwriter Kirsten Adamson launching her new album “Dreamviewer” in Cottiers on Wednesday, 1st October.  Adamson, daughter of Scottish music legend Stuart Adamson, will be performing with her band The Tanagers.

Also at Cottiers, on Thursday (2nd October), Nicola Meighan’s “A Kick Up The Arts” podcast will be live on stage. Meighan’s guests will be two of Scotland’s most respected singer-songwriters in the shape of Jill Jackson and Carol Laula. Playing The Glad Cafe on the same night are two up-and-coming Scottish acts, Paper Sparrows and Niamh Corkey.
