Our next contestant in the Twang Factor 4 series is Steve Hewitt, a singer-songwriter hailing from Kent. Inspired by an eclectic array of artists including David Gray, Bob Dylan, Blaze Foley, Fink, Townes Van Zandt and John Legend, Hewitt has evolved into a diverse songwriter who has forged his own cross-genre identity by exploring the boundaries of americana, folk and country. Steve’s music is acoustic-driven and shines with melodic simplicity, soulful vocals and rustic charm.
Well noted for his intimate live performances and enduring presence on the British music scene, Hewitt has opened stages for a diverse range of artists including Martin Simpson, Mark Morriss (The Bluetones), Newton Faulkner, Jenn Bostic, Robb Johnson and Emma Stevens. He has appeared at the likes of The British Country Music Festival, Car Fest and Black Deer Festival. Hewitt’s single releases have also received airplay around the globe and featured on channels such as Hot Country TV (UK & Ireland) and The Country Network (US).
Steve independently released his second studio album “Never Two Days The Same” on 22nd Sept 2025.
