We’re really hoping that by now the demeaning spectacle of the American Presidential election result will have been resolved. We’ll see. Why mention this, though ? Well – Adam Lee put his new song out on November 3rd and it’s message of self-reflection and ambition to be better was no accident.‘I Am A Coward‘ was written in the wake of George Floyd’s death and reflects on the struggles to reconcile the rifts in his country. With a harshly honest but never hopeless tone, “I Am A Coward” is, at its centre, a confession. As Adam Lee says “It’s been a hell of a year and while the current climate seems ripe for protest music, I didn’t want to write another finger-pointing protest song. Self-examination seemed like a more powerful approach.”
