‘When We Believed‘ is the latest single to be released by Portland singer-songwriter Alela Diane this year, with hints that there will be a full album soon as a follow-up to 2018’s ‘Cusp.’ ‘When We Believed‘ is a look back at younger selves, and how dreams of “having it all” become later realities of compromise, and realising that your youthful self would not understand how you got to where you are. And maybe a future self might look back to now and wonder some more, who knows (we all know)?
