Big Wheels “Daydreams” – dreams are only wishes…

Daydreams‘ is the latest single from Big Wheels, who regard themselves as an unlikely duo.   Which may be an odd thing to say, but Cass Ford had a country music upbringing on her parents’ tour bus whilst Lawson Doyle’s musical background is in rock and roll.  You may be thinking that country and rock and roll gave birth to rockabilly, good thought but in fact the Australian pairing lean into a Laurel Canyon vibe.  Of ‘Daydreams‘ Cass says that it “is a song that holds a special place in our hearts, as it captures the essence of our journey as a band and the endless possibilities that lie ahead. We couldn’t be more thrilled to return to the UK to work on our debut EP over the next couple months.

The single was released yesterday, and Big Wheels celebrated the release with a gig at London’s Shacklewell Arms today.  Their six track EP, which will be worked on in London, will get its release in September.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
