Led by Jon Bennett, once of the much missed Pacific Ocean Fire, this is the new single from Leicester’s Mountaintop Junkshop, out on September 21st, and a lovely lovelorn piece of Americana it is too.

The retro slot this week features the visceral and mighty David Eugene Edwards with his band 16 Horsepower and a live cut from 2002. Have a great weekend everyone.

From their new album Witches, out on November 16th, this is Californian band The Black Watch with a nice piece of Americana-tinged indie pop/rock.

This is only the second track recorded by Lancashire outfit West on Colfax and it’s very good (as indeed is the first one, the Line).  Hopefully more will follow in short order.  Nice video too.

From their new album, Carousel, Washington’s Pine Hearts cover a subject that is too often taboo.  A fine song and a fine band, they should be in the UK in 2019.
