Merry Christmas to all our readers from the AUK team

Well that’s it from us for this year. A huge thank you to you our readers for your ongoing support and sticking with us through typos, glitches and accidentally posting in the middle of the night. Hopefully there has been some half-decent music journalism in the midst of it. We are taking a much-needed break until Monday January 5th which is literally the only downtime we get the whole year – I am planning to spend at least half of it being beaten by my son at Sonic Crossworlds Racing in my pyjamas.

If you are a regular reader and enjoy reading our content, please consider supporting us – you can find out how here. We all do this in our spare time so every little helps to nick a slogan. More importantly if you feel like you’re able to, please support Medical Aid for Palestinians this Christmas who are providing support to a traumatised population who are still mainly living in tents in freezing and sometimes flooded conditions – you can do that here.

While we’re offline as it were, our community forums will remain active so please do drop in there, particularly if you’ve had a few sherries – what could go wrong? In the meantime we are signing off with a basically perfect tune which isn’t strictly speaking a Christmas song but winter has officially begun and hey you can still listen to this one on January 2nd and not get death stares. From all of the AUK Team, wishing you and yours a peaceful holiday season and all the best for 2026. See you on the other side.

Best wishes to Mark and all the contributors to these pages over the year. Keeps an old man (and eBay sellers) very happy.
