Ciara O’Neill’s new single ‘Le Soleil’ has a true shimmery summery sixties feel to it –  with vocals as crystal clear as ice, albeit ice that’s soon to melt in the warmth of Ciara O’Neil’s expressive voice.  The song is the precursor to a new EP of brand new recordings themed on the sun, moon and stars to be released this Autumn.

Talking of the new EP the Irish singer has said “the pandemic has been so hard for everyone and personally I found a lot of solace in being with nature whenever I could. Ive always had a real fascination with the vast expanse of space and likewise the sea so it was a natural progression to write songs based on this theme with numerous mentions of changing tides and seasons bringing comforting thoughts of new hope for the world.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
