Cory Hanson says he loves European People and announces spring 2026 UK and EU tour

Like a sweet spring breeze blowing through the long, cruel winter, Cory Hanson is blowing through Europe again early next year. The Wand guitarist and songwriter has announced a series of European dates, including several UK dates. This follows the release of his fourth solo album, “I Love People” reviewed in these very pages here.

In a recent interview with AUK’s Dean Nardi, Hanson reflected that his new album would certainly be different once on the road –  “Well, the notes will be the same, but the instruments playing them will be less lush and panoramic. It’s fun to add that kind of ornamentation and frame the songs that way ( on the album), then take them to a live arena and shrink them back down to what makes them songs, what makes them the way they were written at a piano or a guitar.” All of which makes a compelling argument for attending these intimate gigs. On his last visit as a solo artist, he was seemingly supported by a ZZ Top tribute band that unmasked themselves as Hanson and his bandmates at the end of their set, and they then played another hour and a half of his original material. The full interview is available here.  Tickets for all dates are available now from this link.
