Not that we’re ultra-competitive here on Americana UK, but it’s a pleasure to have the new song to feature before the Editor has had time to grab it. Because we’re big fans of Darlingside, there’s so much to like – the musicality, the glorious fusion of voices, and on ‘Darkening Hour‘ lyrics which drift towards the melancholic, with intimations of a final darkening of the days. Things end, and the time goes past quicker than you’d ever think it could.
