Dirty Dozen: Sarah Darling, Jenn Bostic & Kyshona Armstrong

Sarah Darling, Jenn Bostic & Kyshona Armstrong 2016One of the things Nashville does best is ‘in the round’ a chance to see high quality songwriters up close and personal.  You may not know the names but the format leads itself to seeing the mechainics of the art in action, three of Nashvilles best exponants speak to AUK.

Tell us about yourselves and what you do?

We’re three singer/songwriters based in Nashville, Tennessee. Kyshona is a roots artist with a blues, gospel and soul sound, writing songs that reflect the stories of people she meets everyday. Jenn Bostic is a soulful emotive pop artist, most well known for her hit Jealous of the Angels, a tribute to her late father, which has led her to a life of touring internationally. Sarah Darling’s smooth, cinematic sound will take you on a journey with songs about stars. She has graced the stage of the Grand Ole Opry over 80 times.

How did you get together/start out?

We’re all been singing for as long as we can remember, but our path’s collided in the Nashville songwriter circuit where we frequently write together and perform at places like the listening room.

What is your current release/future release?

Sarah’s first single in the UK, You Take Me All The Way, will be available September 23rd, with a full length album to follow early next year. Jenn just released a brand new single What Love Feels Like (Radio Edit), on September 2nd, and it is currently playlisted on BBC Radio 2, Kyshona’s brand new album The Ride, released worldwide on September 6th.
