We end the week with a real treat. Through our ongoing series of mini-gigs, we are trying to recreate the joy of live performance in the comfort of your own home. Here, Brady Harris provides an Americana masterclass in both songwriting and performance. He has proved time and again that he can craft superb songs, full of melody and smart lyrics.
Harris is no stranger to Americana fans and he recalls AUK’s first encounter with him many years back when he delivers ‘North Hollywood Skyline’, the first of two beautiful songs performed exclusively for us. Then, he sings ‘Raise a Glass’, which is introduced as a relevant song about isolation. Harris has certainly come a long way from the hungry busker who used to play on the streets of London and Paris. Check out his most recent releases, last year’s four-track EP ‘Keep Your Cover’ and the duet recording ‘Wood Hitch’ with Rose Shawhan, both excellent examples of intimate modern folk.
As the man says: “Raising a glass to you guys. Cheers.”
UBG Shout out! Kelly Anne!
