Fust “Trouble” – constant companion

For Fust – a six-piece band from Durham, North Carolina consisting of Aaron Dowdy, Oliver Child-Lanning, Frank Meadows, Justin Morris, Avery Sullivan, and John Wallace – ‘Trouble‘ is less their middle name and more an awkward accrual through life.  Problems arise – and bad solutions proffer themselves as solutions leading to problems and a continuing spiral of bad moves.  It’s a plaintive rock admission of a weakness that can’t be shaken off.

Trouble‘ is the second single from the band’s latest release ‘Genevieve‘ which was released on the 16th.  Fust have made the bold choices of releasing as a download, naturally, on limited edition CD and oh my god cassette.  Compact Cassette – man that’s just asking for trouble…

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
