Good Lovelies to release expanded edition of “We Will Never Be The Same”

To celebrate this first anniversary of Good Lovelies’ JUNO-nominated album “We Will Never Be The Same”, the band is releasing a deluxe digital reissue of the record on October 25th. The new release includes acoustic versions of album songs as well as covers including the Crosby, Stills and Nash favourite, ‘Helplessly Hoping’, which is out now as the lead single.

Talking about the song, Lovely (really?!? Ed) Sue Passmore says, “It’s hard to resist covering beautiful songs by outstanding trios such as Crosby, Stills and Nash, where we can really let the harmonies take centre stage with the simple accompaniment of an acoustic guitar. It’s also been a wonderful compliment to our show over the past few years while we were creating the material for the original album, as it lives in a similar emotional sphere as many of our new songs.”

The deluxe version also includes a cover of ‘Songbird’ by Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie and acoustic versions of ‘Baby, I’, ‘I Should Tell You More’ and ‘Find Our Way Home. The album can be seen as a return to a more elemental, acoustic-based musical platform reaching back to the early days of the Good Lovelies, as well as an immersive experience created by three seasoned songwriters. “We Will Never Be the Same” was the group’s seventh full-length studio album.
