Jason Isbell has announced the release of his first entirely solo acoustic album, “Foxes in the Snow”, set for release on March 7th via his own Southeastern Records. The album will be released on standard vinyl, exclusive Rough Trade blackberry-coloured vinyl, CD, and digitally. The first single, ‘Bury Me’ is out now – you can listen to it below.

The album was recorded in New York City at the famed Electric Lady Studios in October 2024. Recorded entirely on the same all-mahogany 1940 Martin 0-17 acoustic guitar, and in just five days, the virtuoso guitar playing and arresting vocal delivery on this upcoming collection is already sounding luke some of the most impressive of an already remarkable recording career. Isbell is one of the most highly lauded songwriters of his generation, and this stripped-back, bare-bones format is well suited for his talent for storytelling and his consummate musicianship.

This release marks Isbell’s first new music since the award-winning “Weathervanes”, with his band The 400 Unit, in 2023. Isbell’s breakthrough solo album, “Southeastern”, was released in 2013. Since then, he has gone on to win six GRAMMY Awards and broken records as the first artist to ever take home the trophy for Best Americana Album three times. He, also, recently added ‘actor’ to his skillset with a performance opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’. He will next be seen in RZA’s upcoming ‘One Spoon Of Chocolate’. He’s one busy boy!

This album announcement follows news of an entirely sold-out solo UK & EU run; ‘An Intimate Evening With Jason Isbell’ which kicks off on February 2nd in Berlin finishing in London on the 10th.
