Jason Isbell has released a new song online – it’s the opener to the soundtrack for the new Netflix movie ‘The Ice Road’ which is a cover of Johnny Cash’s trucker anthem ‘All I Do Is Drive’. ‘The Ice Road’ and its soundtrack were released on Friday, and notwithstanding the fairly awful reviews it’s had so far (The Guardian said in its review: “Liam Neeson’s action hero schtick… has become so repetitive that one imagines him just shuffling from one set to the other dragging his rifle, wearing the same costume, each role boringly interchangeable”) other contributors to its soundtrack, released include current country darlings Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, and Luke Combs. Still, it seems the first few minutes are decent enough if you close your eyes.
