Here’s the latest single released from Jeffrey Martin’s new live album “Alive July 25, 2025“, which was recorded with just a few microphones on a packed night at Portland’s legendary haunt, The Showdown. Somehow the recording picked up on the intensity of the performance – maybe it’s how the crowd are brought to a hush, maybe it’s the feel of complete focus that Jeffrey Martin’s vocal conveys. Whichever – the whole album is out tomorrow on Loose Records.
And, if listening to this song gets you to musing on how you’d like to experience a live show by Jeffrey Martin, well, you are in luck because, as well as the album hitting the streets, the UK tour starts tomorrow with these dates:
Jan 20th – Brighton, The Hope & Ruin
Jan 21st – London, Bush Hall
Jan 22nd – Manchester, YES
Jan 23rd – Birmingham, The Sunflower Lounge
Jan 24th – York, The Bluebird Bakery
Jan 26th – Galway, Roisin Dubh
Jan 28th – Cork, Coughlans
Jan 29th – Dublin, Whelan’s
Jan 30th – Belfast, The Duncairn

Hi Jonathan,
Knowing very little about this guy, but trusting to your good taste, I went to see him play live in my hometown on Friday evening, Which is the best way to judge an artist new to you I always think. Armed only with an acoustic guitar and a hatful of great songs, together with no small measure of humour, he totally captivated a small but crowded basement room of 100+ folks here in Birmingham. The sound of a dropping pin could be heard all night; something which he gratefully acknowledged.
As a somewhat long in the tooth americana fan, it generally takes something special to immediately grab my attention these days, but Jeffrey certainly has it. Sign me up……..I’m definitely a fan from heron in.
Many thanks for your recommendation.
Regards, David
Hi David – thanks for the feedback, it’s really appreciated. He is a wonderful songwriter, and enthralling live, it’s an honour to have helped him sell another ticket!
There’s nothing like the live performance for really validating whether an artist can really “cut-it”: there’s no doubt that Jeffrey Martin can more than do so.
