It’s a voice carved by time – and apparently whisky and cigarettes may have also been involved – cracked and worn and gravely and very distinctive.  There’s a bit of another “time twist” to Josh Langton – it’s fifteen years since his last full length musical project, but his long-awaited album ‘Tastes Like Sin‘ will emerges on March 29th, 2024.  For now we can offer you this taster, a bitter reflection on love which alludes to the twinging pain of an old injury when the climate turns to moisture – Langston still feels the pain and heartache when the rains come.

‘Still Hurts When It Rains‘ is not just a song; it’s a statement. Langston confides, “It may be the newest composition on the album, but it is swiftly becoming one of my favorites. It’s the classic country story that finds its way back to you, especially when the weather turns.”

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
