Kyle Mckearney “Tomorrow” – will it be there?

One of the absolute highlights of this year’s AMAUK showcases, Kyle McKearney is preparing for the release of his third album by previewing a series of singles with ‘Tomorrow‘ being the latest.   It’s another big step forward for the Canadian who has gone from local bars to major festivals and arenas across Canada in less than 2 years, and has supported names like: Lainey Wilson, The Black Crowes, Darius Rucker, Burton Cummings, Kip Moore, Jon Pardi, Serena Ryder, Terri Clark, and many more.

Speaking of today’s song he shared that: “I have a deep love for acoustic music – it always feels the most honest.  ‘Tomorrow’’ is a question really; do we get to be with our loved ones after we leave this world? Does the longing and suffering veto the risk this character is taking with their life on earth? I wrote this bluegrass leaning tune with my friends, Noeline Hofmann and James Jannetty at the kitchen table. We all left the session knowing that we had written something meaningful.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
