Peter Bruntnell 2022

Brighthelmstone Promotions has announced their annual Mid-Sussex Music and Ale Festival in Hassocks just outside Brighton. Less than a month away, the three-day festival will take place over the August Bank Holiday. Headliners include Andrew Combs, Whitney Rose, Robert Vincent Band, and Peter Bruntnell, who played at the inaugural event. Focussing on Americana, the event will welcome Treetop Flyers, Native Harrow, Diana Jones, Ags Connelly, The Dreaming Spires, Dan Russell, Anya Louise, and many others from both sides of the Atlantic. The festival began in Hove as “Palmfest” ten years ago.

Americana UK caught up with Jim Walker from Brighthelmstone just before the pandemic hit in 2019. You can read the interview here.

Weekend tickets start at only £49 and day tickets range from £13 to £27. Sunday is a Music Venue Trust Revive Live day, and you can get a buy one get one free ticket if a National Lottery ticket is shown on the door. You can buy tickets to the show on Brighthelmstone’s website.
