Toronto’s Nelson Sobral is back with a slice of the rockier end of americana – ‘Pendulum‘ sees him wondering why this girl keeps swinging away and swinging back again. Could it be something to do with his confession that “I push you away and I beg you to stay“? That is what we call a mixed message.
‘Pendulum‘ is a co-write with singer-songwriter Mattie Leon who also plays organ on the track which also features Selcuk Suna on horns (a member of The Royal Conservatory’s New Canadian Global Music Orchestra), but Nelson Sobral plays every other instrument himself.
