Seth Lakeman has new album and UK tour

Having completed a tour with the Led Zep’ legend Robert Plant, Seth Lakeman will be returning to the road on a UK tour in November.  This time he’ll be promoting his new album, ‘The Well Worn Path,’ which will be released on October 26th. ‘The Well Worn Path’ was recorded in Seth Lakeman’s own garden studio on Dartmoor, and is his ninth studio album. As producer, Seth brought in Ben Hillier (Elbow, Blur, Depeche Mode, Doves) and also shook up his band which now consists of long-time collaborator Ben Nicholls (upright and electric bass), new boys Kit Hawes (electric and acoustic guitar) and Evan Jenkins (drums) and one of the finest female folk voices, Kathryn Roberts (one half of the duo Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman, and also Seth’s sister-in-law).

Seth Lakeman says of his new album “This ninth CD is quite different from my previous album, with more of a prog-rock approach. My last record was a deliberately understated Americana set, but this one is more rocking.” There’ll be chances to test the truth of this on his tour which starts in November. Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
