Silver Lining “Go Out Nowhere” – they shall be released

You’ll probably recall that from time to time we bang on about the leading bands and artists of the Nordicana scene – a group of musicians who are so supportive of each other that they permutate through all possible line-up combinations so much so that they could, if they so wished, make a whole weekend festival line-up that way.  So, here we are again – and today’s bunch of mixed-up, hazed out, Laurel Canyon tinged Americana perfection are Silver Lining.  They’re part of The Northern Belle with singer Louien and on this cut taken from their second album they sound just perfect.  We just hope that someone’s doing a Peter Frame style Nordicana rock family tree, ‘cos these guys are prolific.  Since Silver Lining’s debut came out in 2018, Stine Andreassen has released three albums as front woman and songwriter in The Northern Belle. In the same time frame, Live Miranda Solberg released two records under her solo moniker Louien.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
