In the meantime, who else could we leave you this week with a song from than Kris Kristofferson who of course died last weekend. Kristofferson was an outspoken activist and supported causes which would have been particularly controversial for an American country musician. On his losing work for supporting Palestinians he commented “if that’s the way it has to be, that’s the way it has to be”. This track taken from the 1990 album “Third World Warrior” contains the lyric “They’re killing babies in the name of freedom. We’ve been down that sorry road before” which feels more pertinent than ever right now given ongoing events in the Middle East.
