Something for the weekend: Toad the Wet Sprocket “Hold On”

Well that’s it for another week dear reader – a really busy one for us in terms of traffic, so welcome if you’re new and thanks for sticking with us if you’re not. We leave you with another track taken from the forthcoming new studio album ‘Starting Now’ from California’s Toad the Wet Sprocket who have been a favourite band for decades now – the song has a real Knopfler thing going on with the guitars and the chord changes will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up (and it’s not even by Ne-Yo). If it’s a sign of things to come with the album (and the already released title track is just a delight too) then clear out an hour of your time next Friday to soak the whole thing up, or if you’re lucky enough to get over to the US, they’re playing dates now through 2022. This one goes out to my mum, whose wake we are holding tonight since we couldn’t in January, in the first venue that Ringo played with the Beatles apparently – a bittersweet night ahead. Have a good one everyone.
