Natalie Merchant heads to UK for 10,000 dates

OK not 10,000 but the story would be so much more fun it it was. We’re taking a break now until Tuesday dear readers. Remember to have a bad Thursday but a good Friday, make sure the Easter Bunny brings you lots of (free range) eggs and we leave you for the long weekend with news that the lovely Natalie Merchant is back and touring the UK in July in some equally as lovely venues including the Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh, the King’s Hall in Ilkley and er, that’s it for halls with royal connections. Natalie Merchant to release deluxe box set

Nonesuch Records have announced the release of “The Natalie Merchant Collection” which will be a deluxe ten-CD box set compiled by Merchant herself and released on June 23rd. The discs include all eight of her solo studio albums from the past three decades, a new studio set featuring four new songs and six reinterpreted selections from her catalog called “Butterfly” and a final disc featuring a collection of fifteen rare and previously unreleased tracks recorded between 1998 and 2017, including home studio demos, album outtakes, live tracks, and collaborations with artists like Billy Bragg, David Byrne, The Chieftains, Cowboy Junkies, and Amy Helm.  Continue reading “Natalie Merchant to release deluxe box set”
