The Three O’Clock “Seeing Is Believing” – I want to believe….

Now, we know what you’re thinking – “cool band, nice pick but, hey isn’t this prime cut of Paisley Underground from one of the true founders of that LA scene a bit old, dude it must be forty years old, man, time has sure flown hasn’t it?

And the answers are all yes – but consider, what is the next step in the evolutionary path for a seminal record of forty years’ vintage?  yeah, right again – it’s being re-issued.   Yep Roc Records will celebrate the 40th anniversary of ‘Sixteen Tambourines‘ by The Three O’Clock with a remastered edition of the band’s second album featuring new artwork.   It’s out October 20th and will be available on CD and LP (transparent green vinyl), ‘Sixteen Tambourines‘ was remastered by Bill Inglot and Dave Schultz, lacquer cut at Bernie Grundman Mastering, with the vinyl pressed at Citizen Vinyl in Asheville, NC.  That’s all the vinyl info we have, we don’t know where the original petroleum was sourced….

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?

Flashbacks of a misspent youth and the girl who got away! But I was always glad I’d worked in a custom 3-oclock design into my hand-crafted skateboard grip tape design, when such was all the rage. Genius, if you ask me, just like these fellows. Cheers from Chi-town.
