Thirty Tigers announces “Sounds of the Storytellers”

Inspired by the ‘new normal’ artists face, in particular with touring by and large on hold for now, our friends over at Thirty Tigers have announced “a destination playlist for fans to stream their favourite UK artists in the UK Americana world, along with an online campaign to promote the great storytelling artists in our community, hosted exclusively on Spotify.”

The label goes on to say: “Music’s storytellers are the working musicians, the artists for life. They are documenters, prophets, collectors of history and purveyors of tales. From the music school graduates to the self-taught, they play our greatest dreams and our saddest tales back to us through sung poetry, romantic lullabies, protests and soundscapes.

The storytelling community pour their blood, sweat and tears into something that delivers a quality, unique experience. Like all artists in all genres, they have worked hard to reach fans digitally in recent months and we have rallied them to support our ‘Storytellers’ campaign, which will run for the next few months.”

The playlist itself features Thirty Tigers UK artists Emily Barker, Robert Vincent, Ida Mae, The Rails, John Smith and Teddy Thompson, as well as artists from the wider UK Americana community including Laura Marling, Bear’s Den, Robert Plant and Ferris & Sylvester.

You can find the playlist over on Spotify here.
