3 Pairs of Boots are California based Americana duo – and wife and husband – Laura Arias and Andrew Stern who have a supportive dynamic. Stern says of his role as the main songwriter, crafting songs for Arias to shine on “I’m the technician and she’s the magic.” September will see the release of their third album ‘Mighty Love‘ which includes contributions from friend and lyric poet Wren Winfield (who co-wrote three songs with Stern), former Ringo Starr drummer Randy Cooke, Nashville keys player Dave Cohen, who was the 2018 Music Row Musician of the Year as well as a local string quartet.
‘Sweet Spot‘ has Laura Arias singing of the joint searches of life – the place to be and the person to be there with: “looking for that sweet spot / looking for my sweetheart” – it’s a bouncy and uptempo love song livened up with banjo and accordian.
