Fox And Bones are going for the big gamble with their latest single ‘All On Red‘ which is a powerful take on folk-rock that’s a little reminiscent of Bob Seger. The song is a bold embracing of the power of fate – there may be plenty going wrong but one good throw of the dice will see everything come right again. Possibly not the greatest strategy for life, but Scott Gilmore and Sarah Vitort who make up the Portland band are committing to it wholeheartedly.
‘All On Red’ is the latest single from Fox And Bones, and is released i advance of their their fourth album, ‘Long Time Honey’, which is slated for release on May 17th. Over the eight years of the band’s existence they’ve had some critical validation including first place at the 2023 Tucson Folk Festival songwriting contest and second place in the International Acoustic Music Awards. Additionally, Fox and Bones are the founders of Portland’s Folk Festival, an annual event held at the iconic Crystal Ballroom. This three-night celebration of folk and roots music serves as a fundraiser for All Good NW, a local charity supporting the houseless community, and Music Portland, an advocate for local musicians in the Portland area.
